Rockslide: Storage and Handling Instructions
Installing the Rockslide
-
Attach the Bracket
- Secure the two-part bracket onto the boom truck's fork (such as those found on material handling).
- Align the large pin with a hole in the fork. This prevents the bracket from sliding back and forth along the fork.
- Insert the locking pins to lock the bracket in place.
-
Insert and Secure the Telescoping Arm
- Slide the telescoping arm into the slot available slot from the bracket you just installed.
- Insert the locking pin through the available hole to secure the telescoping arm firmly in place.
Detaching the Rockslide
-
Remove the Telescoping Arm
- Take out the pin securing the telescoping arm, then slide the arm out of the bracket.
-
Detach the Bracket
- Set the fork into a position where the locking pins can be removed without the two bracket components falling off.
- Remove the locking pins securing the bracket to the fork
- Lift the bracket components off the fork.
Storage Tips
- Bracket and Components: Store these in standard toolboxes.
- Telescoping Arm: Strap it securely to the truck bed for transport.
Material Compatibility
The Rockslide is designed to handle a wide range of materials, including:
- Drywall boards: 48” or 54” tall, 16’ or longer.
- Other Materials: Shaft liner, metal studs, and plywood sheets.
Key Feature
When attached, the Rockslide stays completely out of the way, allowing operators to load and unload material from the truck as usual.
