Rockslide: Storage and Handling Instructions

Installing the Rockslide

  1. Attach the Coupling

    • Secure the coupling onto the boom truck's fork (such as those found on material handling cranes by Palfinger).
    • Align the two large bolts/pins on the coupling with the holes in the fork to prevent sliding.
    • Insert the pins to lock the coupling in place.
  2. Insert and Secure the Telescoping Arm

    • Slide the telescoping arm (5 feet long) into the slot on the coupling.
    • Insert the pin through the designated hole to secure the telescoping arm firmly in place.

Detaching the Rockslide

  1. Remove the Telescoping Arm

    • Take out the pin securing the telescoping arm, then slide the arm out of the coupling.
  2. Detach the Coupling

    • Remove the pins securing the coupling to the fork.
    • Lift the coupling off the boom truck's fork.

Storage Tips

  • Coupling and Components: Store these in standard toolboxes.
  • Telescoping Arm: Strap it securely to the truck bed for transport.

Material Compatibility

The Rockslide is designed to handle a wide range of materials, including:

  • Drywall boards: 48” or 54” tall, 16’ or longer.
  • Other Materials: Shaft liner, metal studs, plywood sheets, and more.

Key Feature

When attached, the Rockslide stays completely out of the way, allowing operators to load and unload material from the truck as usual.
